November Gunpowder River Report

The Gunpowder is at 50 cfs, water temperatures in the mid 50’s and running very clear.

Fishing on the Gunpowder has been decent lately, with levels dropping to a much better level for cold weather fishing, in the 40-100 cfs range. We’ve been seeing midges and olives in the afternoon and anglers have been enjoying some good action on small dries. Fishing tends to pick up around noon through til dark. With the frigid nights upon us  throwing a streamer can result in some bigger browns.

Thanks to Tom Master for the awesome fish photos! Tom began fly fishing this past Summer and is reaping the rewards from lots of time spent on the river. Fantastic to see.

Note: We will be open normal hours this Veterans day Monday.
