Hendricksons and Quill Gordons…

The river is low and clear at 66 CFs. Water temps in the high 50s-today we measured 57 F have made the fish very active and the rain in the forecast should help anglers get closer to fish this weekend. Expect the river to move a little this weekend and drop just as quickly. Some of our best days this past year on guidetrips were during and just after a spot of rain. Hendricksons in a #14-16 and quite a few Quill Gordons in #10-12 have been accounting for some nice fish. Soft hackles sized #12-16 and small bead head nymphs #16-18 in the riffles in the morning should make for a great start. Later on, a snowshoe rabbit emerger fished down and across should work fine. Using a female Adams in #14-16 by early evening is a nice way to trick some wary fish. Don’t leave home without a few Rusty spinners if you’re planning on fishing the evening out.

Note: We do stock rainjackets should you need one…
