Gunpowder River Fishing Report

The Gunpowder River is flowing at 34 cfs and is holding at 50 degrees. With the drop in flows the fishing has continued to be excellent. Sulfur season is here and in full swing. Over the last few days the water temp has come up a few degrees helping with the Sulfur hatch. We are seeing the most bug activity around 1 O’clock till dark. The trout have also been keyed into caddis this week. Swinging wet flies through riffles or throwing dries in the slower deeper pools has been working best. Make sure to stop in the shop to restock on flies before you hit the water. If you are looking to fine tune your fishing or casting skills or just want to get out on the Gunpowder with a guide, book a trip with us either over the phone or online. Tight lines.
