The flows are back! We’ve received a bump to around 115 CF/s and temps are steady around the 50-58 degree range through the day. Despite an increase in flow and some rain, the river continues to be especially clear. 6-7x, 9-foot leaders are the recommended size for these picky clear water fish.
As for what to fish? Terrestrials are still getting hit. As we move through September, the recommended dry dropper setup is a beetle, around a 1 1/2 – 2 feet of tippet, then a small guides choice or Perdigon as your dropper. As rain continues through the weekend don’t be afraid to break those streamers out, some of the small black or chartreuse Clousers we carry should fish fine!
Falls Road and Masemore have been fishing exceptionally well as long as you can avoid the crowds so get out on the river, and come into the shop to stock back up!
