The Gunpowder River is flowing at 29.7 Cfs, clear and is 56.1 degrees F. Midges and BWO’s have been all the rage mid-morning in the flats. With the water dropping to a slightly better wading level the river is no longer bankfull. Please be mindful that the Wild fish are already at work building redds so please limit your wading around these cleared shiny areas of cleaned gravel to foster and protect the next year class. A few slate drakes are hanging on and swinging caddis is always a good bet especially in tricking the smaller, more eager fish.
