Baltimore Fly Fishing School

Please join us for a flyfishing school. On Saturday, October 3, a Backwater Angler Guide will be teaching a fly fishing school that is ideal for beginners. Colorado Fly Fishing Report

My wife, Renee and I traveled around the state in about 7 days stopping in Denver, Aspen, Vail, Rocky Mountain National Forest, Colorado Springs and several smaller towns in between. This was our first visit to the state in search of future Bed and Breakfast location with the buisness plan to offer guide services and cater to fly fisherman. Blue Winged Olives, Caddis and Threatening Rain

The Gunpowder river is flowing at 32 Cfs, is clear and 56 F. The recent rains have made things interesting today in the Hereford zone. Warmer water spilling over the dam coupled with a release planned for this weekend to mitigate the surface water should bring the Gunpowder river up to the mid to low 100 Cfs range through the weekend-think streamers! If you’d rather fish dries, Blue Winged Olives and Caddis have been working this week. Riffles emptying into flats have been the best areas to prospect.
