The Gunpowder River is gin-clear and flowing at 30.5 Cfs and is 42 degrees F. Fish are holding in runs so go deep! Try small stoneflies in the tail-outs and flats and swing them towards the bank. Log jams are worth a shot-especially with small, traditional streamers like a Mickey Finn stripped slowly downstream. All the trails are in great shape now but come Friday consider a staff and studs along…be safe out there and find some peace and quiet, and a few wild fish along the Gunpowder River! Let’s hope for snow!
