Scott X2S Fly Rod Review
I’ve cast the Scott X2s rod in line weights 7-10, and they all load and shoot with less line then the S3S series. I currently use a Scott S3S 8 weight rod for bonefish, stripers, and salmon, but the X2S would be a perfect fit for me personally in a 7 weight for the smaller bone fish and schoolie stripers, I encounter over the course of a year. The 8 weight could be considered perfect with a fast action, and soft tip for loading the rod with much less force, than my faster S3S. The 9 or 10 weight X2s won’t wear out rotator cuffs, …
