Please join us for a flyfishing school. On Sunday, November 9, a Backwater Angler Guide will be teaching a fly fishing school that is ideal for beginners. If you’re planning on flyfishing Maryland, or anywhere else for that matter, this course is a great introduction to the sport. The school covers knots, casting, gear and fly selection. The Maryland Department of Natural Resources and Baltimore County Department of Environmental Protection and Resource Management (DEPRM) is looking for volunteers to assist with the upkeep of boot wash stations at six locations along the Gunpowder Falls.
