Dorothea and a Movie at the Brewer’s Art

Need a midweek lift after Cinco de Mayo? Trade in your tequila for beer and join the staff of Backwater Angler, members of MDTU and other lucky bar patrons tonight at the place Esquire magazine just named #1 in its list of, The Best Bars in America. That’s right folks, tonight we’re leaving the county for the city and are headed down to the Brewers’s Art in Baltimore at 1106 N. Charles St. Baltimore, MD 21201 to take in a movie and sample the Brewer’s arts newest seasonal brew, aptly named Dorothea. The seasonal brew was crafted to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Trout Unlimited and the emergence of the Sulphur mayflies present along the Gunpowder River this time of year. According to MDTUs website, “A percentage of the evening’s proceeds, as well as those from the three-week offering of Dorothea, will benefit MDTU.” The movie, Glimpses of the Gunpowder, by Jason du Pont, will provide a rolling scenic backdrop for this great event starting around 5:00 PM.
