In July, nearly 150,000 folks in Baltimore City and Baltimore County were under mandatory water restrictions. Since then we’ve had enough rain to strangle a toad but conserving water is still on the brain at Backwater Angler. So we’re asking all you do gooders out there to ignore the car for awhile. If your favorite ride gets really grimey send in a picture and a quick quote by September 31, 2009 to info@backwaterangler.com, be sure to describe the benefits gleened by NOT washing the family truckster, such as more time fly fishing or the unbridled beltway joy one receives by piloting a moving monument to water conservation. The dirtiest examples and best quotes-keep these clean people-will be featured each week on the site through September. You need not be a fly fisherman to apply and three winners will be decided October 1. Just remember, everything’s fine in Baltimore until another 54″ water main breaks…stay tuned!
